Rock pioneer Bo Diddley dies at age 79
Posted on June 2nd, 2008 at 12:55 pmBo Diddley, a founding father of rock ‘n’ roll whose distinctive “shave and a haircut, two bits” rhythm and innovative guitar effects inspired legions of other musicians, died Monday after months of ill health. He was 79.
The world has lost a true treasure of the music world, one that I grew up listening to and enjoying. Not to mention the many musicians that copied his style, even today. You will be missed.
