SimplyMEPIS 8.0 RC3: Entering the “Waiting for Lenny” Phase

Morgantown, WV, Feb 9, 2009 — MEPIS has distributed ISO files for RC3 of SimplyMEPIS 8.0. The files for 32 and 64 bit processors are SimplyMEPIS-CD_7.9.96-rc3_32.iso and SimplyMEPIS-CD_7.9.96-rc3_64.iso.

Morgantown, WV, Jan 26, 2009 — Warren has uploaded ISO files for RC2 of SimplyMEPIS 8.0 to the MEPIS pools. The files for 32 and 64 bit processors are SimplyMEPIS-CD_7.9.95-rc2_32.iso and SimplyMEPIS-CD_7.9.95-rc2_64.iso.

Morgantown, WV, Dec 8, 2008 — ISO files of the sixth and last anticipated beta of SimplyMEPIS 8.0 are available for 32 and 64 bit processors as SimplyMEPIS-CD_7.9.93-beta6_32.iso and SimplyMEPIS-CD_7.9.93-beta6_64.iso.

MEPIS jumps on 2.6.27

Only ten days after the release of Linux 2.6.27, the SimplyMEPIS project has decided to work the new kernel into its next release. The project today used the kernel in both 32- and 64-bit versions of the third beta release of SimplyMEPIS 8.

MEPIS Linux 8.0 nears release
